RED-TAILED HAWK ZIPPER
Description
The largest of the hawks and the most common. They are found all over the continent and in the West Indies (hence their name). Their eyesight is 8 times better than humans; can spot a spider from high in the air. Often seen on telephone wires along the road hunting. Their main diet is small rodents. When mating the couple will fly to great heights, fold their wings and plummet to the tree tops. Monogamous and may mate for life.
